The Ovation Engineering PC EZ-Remote Tool Offset Compensation System allows the user to manually change CNC Tool wear offsets on up to 10 machines without accessing the CNC operator panel. This can now be done with a PC from a remote location such as outside of an automated work cell containing robotics. This eliminates unnecessary downtime that may result from shutting down automation in order to safely enter the cell.

How the software works...

----

When the program runs for the first time, the user is prompted to set up a password for changing program variables in the future.

----

Once a password has been established, the user may then set the following:

Machine Name to Address Affiliation, Number of Turrets, Machine Resolution, Maximum Offset, Offset Log File Name/Path and COM Port.

----

Once the Setup is complete, user is taken to the Tool Offset Screen.

----

Offsets are made by selecting tool and entering valid data to offset the machine.

----

By clicking the 'Change Turret' button.  The user may then enter offset data to the other turret/head.

----

When all offset data has been entered, the user can click the 'Ready Send' button and verify/confirm the data to be sent to the machine.

----

After the data has been sent, if the interface has successfully received the offset data, it will respond to the program, which will then notify the user of a successful transmission. After a successful transmission, the software will append the offset log, which can be viewed at any time to determine tool offset history.
